Specialized Treatments for Your Pet, Including Laser & Stem Cell Therapies

Often pets come to us because they are experiencing pain either due to trauma or a more chronic condition such as arthritis. In addition to standard palliative medicines, we are very happy to be able to offer our patients the opportunity to have laser and stem cell therapy.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a non-invasive, sterile, and drug-free treatment that stimulates the body to heal from within. A variety of injuries, including fractures and wounds, plus numerous dermatological problems and pain from arthritis and other chronic conditions, all benefit from properly administered laser therapy. The laser feels like a warm massage and is very relaxing to both dogs and cats.

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cell therapy may be indicated for particular injuries and conditions requiring a more specialized approach to treatment. These may include canine osteoarthritis and tendon and ligament injuries, among others.

Stem cell therapy requires your vet to remove a small amount of fat from your animal under local or general anesthesia. The fat undergoes a special process of isolating stem cells and is then implanted either at the site of the injury or intravenously within 48 hours of collection.
